"Copper River" by William Kent Krueger

The long anticipated arrival of William Kent Krueger and his new novel, "Copper River" went off without a hitch on Saturday, September 9th at J. O'Donoghue Books in Downtown Anoka.  Mr. Krueger received a warm and heartfelt welcome from the multitudes in attendance.

Mr. Krueger spoke at length about "Mercy Falls" and "Copper River".  He shared many stories and anecdotes about his writing and his research for both novels.  He entertained us as he read some of his recent fan e-mails.  We were treated to a short reading from "Copper River".  Mr. Krueger finished the event with questions from the audience and of course, signing books.

A good time was had by all.  Ani and I would like to thank Mr. Krueger for his time and his gracious nature.  We hope you come back soon!

            The audience is spellbound.

"Restless Skies The Ultimate Weather Guide" by Paul Douglas

Mr. Douglas arrived a few minutes late, due to the inclement weather.  One would think a meteorologist would have been able to forsee heavier than normal traffic on a night like this.

moments mixed with poignant scenes. The characters are well developed and multifaceted."

"My Evanovich customers will love this book!"
Ani Sorenson, Proprietor J. O'Donoghue Books

"This is a laugh out loud masterpiece. Wholly clean, it intrigues you and keeps you smiling from beginning to end. Olivia is utterly charming and I hope this is only her first outing as a sleuth.
I love this book and it goes on my virtual keeper shelf."
4 1/2 Stars--Amanda Killgore, Reviewer, Amazon Top 500

"Oblivious is a page-turner...Cyndia Depre sketches a story that allows the reader
to become absorbed with the events and holds them captive until the end."
Cherokee, Coffee Time Romance, Four Cups

"A charming story with a likeable heroine and a small-town mystery,
this book was a complete delight to read."
Wendy Hines at Reviews--Armchair Interviews

"A college professor is murdered, and Olivia Chatham begins to nose around. No wealthy airhead,
she enthralls readers. Mix a bit of Stephanie Plum with a lot of Amelia Bedelia, and we have
Chatham, Wisconsin's newest amateur sleuth. Give this book a try."
Jo Ann Vicarel, Mysteries in Brief, Library Journal
